 A prize-wining tropical garden set on six acres of constantly varying terrain. Brilliant collections of rare and unique species make up individual gardens that blend in naturally with the landscape.
 
A gorgeous hike through spectacular countryside, the Arbib Trail is Barbados' first fully interactive guided trail. Take in the rolling hills and cane fields, dark and mysterious Whim Gully, and learn about whales and schooners, a working sugar plantation and some of the island's rare flora and fauna.
 
 
 
 
Gun Hill Signal Station
Strategically placed on the highland of St. George, this 1818 tower is the finest of a chain of signal stations that once carried news across the island at the approach of an enemy or cargo ships. 
 
 
 
 
 
Morgan Lewis Sugar Mill
The largest and only complete sugar windmill surviving in the Caribbean. The wind-driven machinery that ground the sugarcane in the 18th and 19th centuries is still intact. 
 
 
 
 
 
The Sir Frank Hutson Sugar Museum
From canefield to sugar to rum, the history of the sweetest product in the world, presented in an original sugar boiling house, complete with taste samples.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Jewish Synagogue and Nidhe Israel Museum
One of the oldest Synagogues in the Western hemisphere, originally built in 1654, now beautifully restored and in use once again by the Barbadian Jewish Community. 
 
 
 
 
 
Tyrol Cot Heritage Village
Once the home of Sir Grantley Adams, this beautifully restored 1854 mansion, with its Barbadian antiques, is the centerpiece of an authentic "chattel house" village that features a market for local arts, crafts, food and drink. 
 
 
 
 
 
Wildey House
The headquarters of the Barbados National Trust is now Wildey House, a beautiful old Georgian-style mansion set on beautiful grounds which has undergone extensive renovation. It also houses a fine collection of antique furniture, which was bequeathed to us, along with the house, by the Leacock family.
 
 
 

Arlington House

 

Built in the style of a 'single house' it has become an architectural feature in the Carolinas of the United States of America.  Thus, providing further evidence of the Barbados-Carolina Connection.  The Arlington House Museum, a must see, was officially opened in February 2008.
